Denver, Colorado, April 30, 2010 - Discount Honda Acura Mitsubishi Parts today released an announcement detailing some of its featured Acura automobile parts and accessories. Acura automobile owners in need of replacement parts or accessories can go online to browse and conveniently purchase parts at www.discounthondaacuramitsubishiparts.com or at www.discount-acura-auto-parts.com.
The Acura Legend dates back to its introduction to the North American market in 1986. The Acura Legend was considered to be the premier model for Acura in its line. Initially available as a sedan the Acura Legend model became available as a coupe beginning in 1987. The car was critically acclaimed early in its time winning Car and Driver’s ’10 best’ for three years in a row. Motor Trend’s Car of the Year was another prominent recognition added to the car’s resume.
The Acura Legend continued to evolve and in 1989 the sedan received upgrades with new one-piece front headlamps, new front bumper, revised trunk lid, and several other cosmetic changes. Safety equipment such as 4-wheel anti-lock brakes and a driver airbag were standard. Higher end options at that time included an electronic vehicle monitoring system and a Bose sound system.
The 1994 Acura Legend included new styling upgrades and for the first time the word “Legend” was spelled out in individual letter on the rear of the car. A GS version of the car became available as the top model variation. The GS featured a 230 hp engine and upgraded brakes and sport suspension to mention just a couple.
The Japan version of the 1990 Legend was the first one offered with a navigation system. The system was not satellite-based and instead relied on accelerometers. The replacement for the Legend sedan is sold as the Acura RL in North America, although Honda continues to sell it as the Legend in most other areas of the world. A limited-production SE sedan was added for 1995. The car was essentially a Legend L with a two-tone paint scheme, pre-1993 15" 7-spoke LS Coupe wheels, "Special Edition" floor mats, and automatic transmission.
