The Acura Legend was one of the first models made available under the Acura brand name. Although bearing the Acura name in the US market the car was known as the Honda Legend in most other parts of the world. Beginning in 1996 the Acura Legend was replaced in the Acura lineup as the Acura RL.

The 1994-1995 Acura Legend sedan received a remodel with new front bumpers and grille and the word ‘Legend’ was for the first time spelled out in individual letters on the back.
